Don't over think it, very small hole in tire. Stop the leak and ride the bike.

I admit I done plenty of that "back in the day" but I like to keep new tread under me now days. I put new tires on the RK every spring and give my pull offs to whichever buddy that needs them at the time.

In his predicament being a new tire I wouldn't think twice about plugging it. I have seen enough with Ride-On to know it will do it's job.

Got a couple bud's like that, one gets new meats for his shovel every year when the other changes tires just before Sturgis, been watching those 2 dance for 20 odd years now. And I'm of the plug & run it mindset , old habits die very hard.
