Passing Lamp Bracket is coming OFF
Okay, I decided to start a different thread rather than hijacking the other one like crazy.
I got the Sunpie headlight installed. It fits like a glove with some very minor trimming of the receptacle. No adapter bracket was needed at all, nor were the wire adapters. It's super bright and I'm very pleased with it.
Please excuse my crappy camera.
HOWEVER...... I had a new rear tire put on today and the guys at the shop pointed out something to me while the back was on the lift: my forks are rubbing like crazy:
And it appears that it's this hateful "one size fits none" bracket that has caused this problem. Look at how it pushes the forks in toward the inside:
This is completely unacceptable and it's coming off before it causes any further damage. I'm sure there are many satisfied owners of this bracket, but it does NOT get along with my bike. I'm thrilled with the new headlight, but I'm going to find another mounting solution for the passing lamps. I may just simply remove the center bar and call it a day.
