Exclamation Anyone see this leak on the 2018's?

Yesterday the following link was live and had leaked info on the 2018 models. (it is no longer live....I imagine HD asked them to take it down)

https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocia...line-up-leaked

It was an interesting read. Conflicts with some other "leaked info" I've gotten.

Who knows, could all be disinformation.

We'll know next week!

I just found the cached version of this page, so the following link should allow you to see the article that was live yesterday.

Yes, that is why I said it was live yesterday. I will clarify my original post to state that it is no longer live. But you can see that I posted the cached version of the link that was taken down.

it's basically just an essay about the stuff already submitted to the EPA. not really a "leak."

Well, it may not be a leak but it had an authentic feel to it. No big surprise that the M8 is replacing the TC completely.

that was kind of expected, though. Put the new engine in the most highly-stressed lineups (the big touring bikes where the engine's lugging around the most weight and running the hottest) and see if there are any hiccups. Then cascade it out to the rest of the lineup.

I'm curious to see if the rumors about the Dyna and Touring lines sharing a "common core" frame were true. one thing I don't particularly care for on the Dyna is how the swingarm mounts to the transmission case on a rubber-mounted powertrain.

I looked over one of those M8's in a dealership a week ago, and as I expected, the engineers have made it so it's going to be even more difficult for one to work on their own bike. Just getting to that stupidly placed second spark plug looks rough enough to just say 'f it' and take it to the dealer to get worked on.

They can keep it. I'm done with H-D except for what I have, they've kissed the *** of the EPA (an entity that needs to be destroyed in the first place!) without one single fight. Disgusts me to no end. Funny How there's countless Harley's that are 30+ years old still on the roads running just fine, in the heat of the deserts (I owned one in Las Vegas and never had trouble!), and the heat of humidity of places like TN where it gets 100 degrees with 95% humidty, etc. H-D had to keep trying to make bigger wich made the EPAtards step in and make H-D make them so the flower-power kids wouldn't cry about a puff of smoke.

Meh, such a shame.

oh, what the **** ever. the whole point of modern advances means you don't have to work on your car or bike all of the time like you did in the 1950s. spark plugs are 100,000 mile devices now. Just because you had to replace your plugs every 10,000 miles in 1965 on your piece of **** Panhead doesn't mean you have to now. And no, it doesn't matter how petulantly you insist that you do.

EPA (an entity that needs to be destroyed in the first place!)
yeah, they only greatly reduced SoCal's smog problem and helped stop the Cuyahoga River from catching fire. what evil they are.

funny how the number of 30+ year old Harleys I've seen on the road can be counted on one finger. The rest of them were thrown away.
