Recommended mods for heavy load
I'm looking for specific recommendations for upgrading the suspension on my Road Glide Ultra to support additional weight beyond the GVWR.
My wife and I don't ride two-up on this bike because combined, we're about 100lbs over the limit. However, this weekend she expressed interest in being a passenger again, and it's all about making her happy.
I'm imagining progressive springs in the rear and the fork, and possibly replacing the rear shock.
Any specific products you have experience with?
Any parts I'm overlooking?
Thanks!
FYI, I don't need recommendations about losing weight. We prefer to get our medical advice from our physicians

Progressive makes HD (Heavy Duty) shocks. Their customer service is also very good, I would look them up online and give them a call. The mono tube upgrade to the front suspension is also recommended, much better then stock. Give them a call, I think you will find what you need. Good luck.

I don't want to be a dick either but if my weight was exceeding the caps of my bike, I'd look at where I can lose weight myself before looking to upgrade bike components.
OP and his wife are 100 lbs over the max combined. Lose 50 each...done.

Why? 'Cause we keep our weight in check?

I actually think it's great that Californians keep their weight down I just wish their IQ' didn't always match.

While I agree with you for the most part, there are still plenty of exceptions to the rule.......
