I've heard from one dealership salesman that 10 dealerships are selling with a no cost lifetime warranty. I know of 5 for sure.

What's the catch? Do you have to use the dealership for all services?

 

I've lived long enough to know for a fact that everything has a cost. If its a "lifetime warranty" & its at no cost, I should be able to ride up there and get one handed to me even though I bought my bike in Florida! C'mon, you know there is an added cost to this gimmick that is added to bike. Hell, if you're willing to pay the long dollar for a bike + dealer fees, set up fees, etc. they'll probably throw in "no cost" lifetime maintenance too! And wash it once a week and detail it once a month! Most people don't keep their bikes a lifetime, so ask if its transferrable to the next owner or two. This is a sales promo all the way. Car dealers have been using it for years.

 

I think all factory services have to be performed at dealership. That would be a no go for me. Would be cost prohibitive for me.

 

Yea, a few $400 oil changes will cover their costs!
