Default New Harley "Brass Collection"

Indian has or had a "Bronze Edition", at least on the Scouts.

I don't know, man... I'm former Navy. Keeping brass nice is a PITA.

It's all about the patina. However, being out in the natural elements, I agree, it'll probably look like hell after a while compared to an old brass lamp or door *****. Who knows though, it may look pretty sweet.

I also had a lot of Brass on my last Bobber build and it was a PITA. I have to imagine that HD probably has a clear coat that would be easier to maintain.

Not real brass though, just a brass anodized finish my guess.

Does look real nice though.

Don't want to take this off track but it would be interesting to know when MoCo finally stopped using brass parts on HDs.

Headlight bucket on my 49 is brass with chrome over it; Linkert carbs were brass; tank emblems for 1951-1953 models were brass with chrome finish.

The Brass look is suppose to attract Steampunk Hipsters.

I like the look. I think the idea is that it would develop a patina and its own wear over time. It is supposed to weather...

I agree with the steampunk thing, but most steampunkers I know are cosplay dorks, not hipsters.

The brass would prob look good on my red denim Slim if the bike was more blacked out than it already is.
