Washing frame of bike
#12
Go For It!
If you hose it down, you can never claim that it has never been ridden in the rain! I say just hand detail everything else and skip the frame.
In all honesty, just grab a bucket of suds and start at the top and work your way down to the bottom. GENTLY spray it off as you work your way down and then wipe or blow it dry.
OF COURSE THIS IS AFTER IT'S BACK TOGETHER!!!

I pull the bags and water bottle holders off, and give it a good spray of this.... then power wash the bike. If you do it often enough, grease will not build up.
I have tried a lot of different products, and this works best.... I have not Paint tested it on the tanks or fenders, so not sure it is an over all cleaner, but it works like a damn on the frame, engine, tranny, etc.
