Indian Larry wore them, and that's good enough for me.

yeah... snowflakes made them popular.

People who claim to never had heard of them... How long you been riding an HD? Ever been in any bike shop? HD Dealership, or indy?

I can't recall ever being in any bike shop, and not seeing a KD display.

Like many, I keep a few pair in my saddlebags. The different colours/shades, at a great price... I can't count how many times I, or someone else has needed a pair while out.

Lol. I laughed when I read your reply. Yeah..... KD's have been around LONGER than so many of this forums members have even been alive. But it's great to read the replies. 😀

They may have become popular back in the day because they were Ray Ban Wayfarer knock-offs.

I've worn them for a long time.
I wear contacts and can ride 90 mph in the desert and not get a speck of grit in my eyes.
The way they're designed is to block right around the eyes and they do a great job in my experience.
And yep, the price is right.
(The ones I wear now are bifocals)

I'm 54, been riding HD's since 1989 and never heard of them. Certainly seen tons of them but never took notice maybe because starring at a guy's face can lead to problems in some cases. I wore Ray Ban Balorama's back in the 80's.

2010. I don't spend much time in bike shops. I work on my own and rarely visit a Harley dealer other than for parts and then I'm on a mission. Not that old, not that cool, didn't lose my virginity to a 40 year old biker *****. Just like to ride. Guess I shouldn't have expect to know what you bikers were talking about.

They look cool, I'm not so I just ride in my M-frame shooting glasses.
