Default We have a lot of wiggle room?

Ok so the local Harley dealer has a new 2017 Street Glide that they say they can make a "great" deal on because they are making room for the 2018's.

It sounds like they may be talking about $3k off. How does this sound? Any idea if I could get it any lower? Maybe get some accessories\clothing credit thrown in?

Thanks
Wade

There's more than $3000 "room" in a SG. A lot more. Like double...

Get some free services too.

There's 4K+ in a Dyna, so you know there's a lot more room in a SG.

$3000 off means what? Off dealer markup? Off msrp? Off after your trade is applied?

Why ask us...get your a$$ in there and work a deal. If you walk/ride away happy...that's all that matters.

I guess it would depend on what the 3K is off of, their normal selling price, MSRP, Dealer Markup etc... 3K off MSRP would be an OK deal IMHO not a great deal. As a point of reference I got my 17 RGU at 4K off MSRP in Feb with 2016s still sitting on the floor

Bottom line is ---- Is this the bike that you want? Are you happy with the deal? If both of those are yes then buy it.
Personally I make a decision of what my bottom line out the door after all taxes and fees is, it makes me no difference how they structure the numbers to get that final figure. This is the number that I am going to write the check for then I talk to the dealerships. If they are at that number or less, I write a check if they are higher I look elsewhere. Once I write the check then I forget about it because you are always gonna hear of a better deal for someone, someplace as time goes on.

I remember someone posted the dealer invoices for the 17 lineup, and the dealer was paying around 16.5k for a Street Glide.
