Default Licks Cycles Horrible

Heads up on Licks cycles I recommend not ordering anything from them.

Tried to order a better helmet from these guys after my cousin got into an accident and sustained brain damage and the helmet never shipped. I sent various emails to them and they never once responded with a status update. Two months after the expected ship date I had enough and raised the issue through PayPal and got my money back but still never received any communication from Licks.

Regardless of whatever issues they are having it is bad business to take money from people and not respond to their inquiries or provide basic updates.
I highly recommend to NOT order from this company.

This is apparently happening to many people and don't want to see it happen to any of the people here.

How did you come up with them for a helmet to begin with?

So many better choices for online purchase, and so many better helmets out there.

Glad you got your $$ back.

I have ordered lots of stuff from Dennis Kirk and Revzilla, as well as Amazon Prime. On some of my Revzilla orders, I receive the item the NEXT day. A brand name helmet is a pretty easy item to come by.

The NOVDOT helmet they advertised looked like a great low profile 3/4 helmet. But I guess doesn't matter how good it is if they take your money and never ship the item HA!

Don't know anything about them but at least PayPal had your back. Agree with above poster about getting helmets. Have plenty but only wear a couple.

I purchased one of their helmets a couple years ago. It's a good helmet. Sorry to hear they're not doing well.

Wow! What type of helmet was your cousin wearing? Was a poor quality helmet a factor in his brain injury?

If you want a helmet to protect your head, forget the fashion helmets and buy one from one of the well known, long time companies that build race helmets. Now if you want cheap, no name company, that is designed to look "retro" then have at it, there is plenty of junk to be had.

It's a small mom and pop business that started off with a few orders. Now they get orders out the *** and can't keep up with the demand. It took almost two months to get a set of blacked out short shocks for my wifes Nightster and that was it for us.

Yeah, I ordered some 12” bars and it took about three months for me to get them. It’s not like they are just busy though, they never answered a single phone call, responded to one email about two weeks after I sent it, and then told me they shipped my bars out of the blue. There is no customer service, and it’s a business. If you want to succeed, you’re going to have to hire more people. Once I did receive the bars, they were in a box with a big hole in it and the bars sticking out of the box. There was bubble wrap around the bars and that was it. They were free to bounce around the box. However, on a positive note I am happy with the bars and they seem to be good quality.
