Did you check the Umbrella valves in the rocker boxes?

Are you checking oil level hot? If it's Sumping it will show low or no oil level cold. Just sayin.

If your bike is a head breather, and vented to the air cleaner, I'd say this. It happened to me a few years ago. Umbrella valves were petrified from age/heat. To be fair, I had over 90,000 miles on the motor.

He said it was a horseshoe oil tank. Hot/Cold doesn't matter much (unless it's empty).
OP, also make sure you aren't using a twin-cam oil filter. It's more restrictive to an Evo.
63796-77A is the right one to use.

Been there done that , blowing out the quart you added, tells me that the oil in the bag had gone to the "dry sump"
always check oil just after engine is turned off.

check valve on my 01 S&S motor failed, added oil, blew it out everywhere
