Default Condensation in Chinese LED Headlamp

When I got these in the mail from eBay was really excited because of the low price compared to Harley. After riding a couple of times at night was impressed. Now I see a slight fog inside the bulb even after a short 1-hour ride in both the passing lamps and the main. It seems like I might try to put a bead of silicone around the face (where the black plastic joins), but was wondering if anyone noticed this in their off-brand LEDs? Having a bit of buyer's remorse right now so don't reply with: I TOLD YOU SO ....

You throw the term: "Chinese LED headlamps" around rather casually. Wonder where the Harley lamps are made? Perhaps in the same factory as your Harley helmet or jacket...

This is such an old topic, it's getting boring. It's not necessarily where it was manufactured as who manages the process. There is a huge difference in a component manufactured in China, under US control, to US specifications....versus manufactured, managed, designed by a Chinese company,

Happy with my Sunpies.
No issues with them even after riding a couple of times in the rain.

I think if you are going to silicone them, I’d lay it in the sun, hopefully it would dry out and then you would seal the moisture out rather than sealing the moisture in.

Take a hairdryer to it and heat it up for about 5-10 minutes, get it good and hot to dry it out. After that run your caulk around it and see if it comes back.
