Nothing like a noob who doesn’t know how to ride trying to instruct seasoned riders on how to do something they have been doing for decades.

I think the last counter steering thread was so long it was like counter steering Britannica

While I agree with all of the above, the OP has been here since 2006.

I was surprised because this topic has been beat to death, resurrected, beaten to death some more, and so on. They always turn into a **** show.

I don't agree with this, I rode a bicycle and had never been taught, learned, or even heard about counter steering. Even after beginning, licensed, to ride a motorcycle which was at a time when I still regularly rode a bicycle, I never heard the term counter steering. How do they 'teach' counter steering?

On the other hand, I saw a video of someone that entered a left turn, didn't turn, and rode straight off the right side of the road so apparently counter steering is "not intuitive" for some people. But many, most, of us, have never taken a class and successfully counter steer.

Of course it is 'learned' somewhere, but it shouldn't have to be in a class after they are ready to ride a motorcycle.

What brand of tire?
Should I buy a daymaker or Chinese knockoff? Or a high intensity bulb?
What patches can I wear?
FF or half helmet?

Get your braking done before the turn, look into the curve as far as you can, push bars left, you lean right and vice versa.
Too much speed is the killer.

I'll just cut to the chase and save time by saying you're wrong regardless of your choice.

Best way i learned is using only one hand on the handlebars, it teaches you countersteering real quick....try it.
