Default A Hospital bed for your bike.

A guy on one of the Indian forums posted up this pic of his Hospital bed Bike lift.

He said he’s used it to lift several Gw’s as well as his Chief.

I did a quick CL search and found two of them for $250.00 each. Just need to attach a chock, some tie down points and and weld a couple legs under the loading end to keep it from flipping up when rolling the bike on or off and you have a budget roll around lift.

This pic gives a better idea of how high it can go.

Makes sure you clean the haz mat off the bed before you use it.
Sounds like a good idea but these beds are heavy, awkward and ginormous, you will need a lot of room in your garage.

Check the weight rating on it, some are only good to 500lbs or so.

Now there you go, being all logical and stuff. No doubt when bed makers engineer their product, there is a fudge factor in the weight rating to keep the failure analysis attorneys away when a bed supports the weight of an obese 600lb patient.
And I am sure the bed designers expected their product to be used as a makeshift bike lift. There should not be a tip over hazard when an 800lb HD patient is raised with a higher center of gravity than engineers intended.
Although this sounds like a good idea, I would not want to stand near, much less wrench, touch or bump said Harley on a fully raised bed.
I can't imagine an insurance company covering the loss on a bike falling from a hospital bed.

I would guess the issue is how high the platform would be from the ground at it's lowest point. Will need a ramp to get the bike up onto the bed. Now build a pit into your garage floor so the bed is flush with the concrete slab...............................
