I wear yellows when riding at night. They really help cut the glare from oncoming traffics' headlights. I also have yellow lenses in my rain goggles.

Cheers!

Yellow lens for fog/ cloudy conditions.

FWIW I would not use yellow at night; though many use those TV info-mercial night time lens.

Yes, rose colored lens seems the best answer for this forums demographics...haha (joking).

These are my low light glasses. My helmet has a flip down clear visor if I need to go out at night and I have regular dark lenses for sunny days.

Cool - great information all.

I was riding yesterday and it ranged from late afternoon brightness to cloudy closer to dusk.

They were not dark enough to make me feel comfortable in the bright light. I was amazed at how my eyes adapted to the yellow. I didn't perceive everything as yellow - just possibly warmer.

When I was in the more overcast condition - I did try out on vs. off to see which seemed "brighter". Knowing that a yellow filter in photography is around 1 "stop" - I expected to see less with the lenses on but as others have said - it punched up contrast and thus apparent visibility.

They seem like a great solution to keep in the bag in case a ride goes long into night or as you all said - in those lower contrast conditions.

On the other end of the spectrum - the reason I got interested in some for riding was that I got a Home Depot safety glass set in yellow for home use - for "pet cleanup". I have a UV flashlight but it was still hard to use. But with the yellow lenses, it punches up the contrast of undesirable animal activities. Suffice it to say - it was revealing.
