Default Leather work in Texas

Got a leather jacket about 15 years ago. It’s not a fox creek or high dollar but it heavy duty leather (no armour) and fits me as it should. The zippers suck and need to be replaced. Any Texas folks know of a good leather shop...near Austin?

Thanks

Call around for a seamstress that can help. Some can do leather. I have a local woman that does and charges so little that I always give her extra. Last time I needed something done like what you need she had me pick up a YKK zipper and I was good to go.

Google Boot repair shops, I have had two zippers put in two different jackets at two different times by the same shoe repair man.

He won't be able to fix it for you but he knows of several places in or near Austin that do that kind of work.

If you can’t find a local shop this lady does a great job. www.greatleather.com
She replaced the main zipper, and my sleeve zippers. No problems. I didn’t care for her leather treatment, it was very waxy, so I would pass on that.

I had the zipper replaced on my old chaps by a shoe shop here in town. I was amazed. The guy that did it adjusted the timing on his machine and stitched in the same holes in the leather as the original. NO NEW HOLES. That was six or so years ago, still going strong.
