Your riding season wrap up

Whats riding season???
As long as I am a self-supporting adult, I REFUSE to live somewhere the temperature stays below 40 degrees for more than a few hours at a time come winter. Yes, it might get hot come summer time in the afternoon, but mornings and evenings are always doable.
<--- Almost 80 today. Got in a fun ride. F-Winter!

Like others have said, never as many miles as I'd like...Saving grace was a decent ride late in the year to Florida and back. Yearly boys camping trip was a bust this year due to reservations not getting confirmed.
Highlight though: renting a 110" Fat Boy Lo on the big island and making a loop all the way around with my wife.
All in all Im at about 3k on the ultra, just under 1k on the fxdl...and dont forget those 250 in Hawaii!! Weather is getting spotty in central TN, but still may get a few day rides in.

My main accomplishment this year is a new 120" motor that I hope to install during my thanksgiving break. The motor is done, and the last of the supporting upgrade parts should be here in a few days. Waiting for the new clutch basket and mufflers to get here, and then I'll swap in the new setup and fire it up.

I got in riding up to about the third week of October this year, and then the white stuff came, it was a bit early this year. I got 13k in, the most ever in one season which for me is from about April-October. Went to Sturgis for the first time. Did cams on my RK, along with some bling, and needed new tires and clutch cable replaced due to a leak but all good now. Was a good season, and now she sleeps until next April. I've still got a good 10 years before retiring, but when I do I'm hoping to do like the birds and head south for the winter then back up to Canada for the spring/summer/fall. That will get me year round riding and the best of both worlds.

Good year for me, and it's not over. Started year at 24,373 miles and I currently have 39,200 miles on the odometer, so about 14,287 miles I defiinitely won't make 15K miles this year. I picked up the five states in the middle of the country that I needed giving me 47 of the 50 states. I am flying to Hawaii to rent a bike to get my 48th state. Actually I am flying to Hawaii to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary, but will rent a Harley while there. I rode to the Rocky Mountains and took a trip to Wellsboro, PA for the fall foliage. Once the salt hits the road, it limits when I will unleash her.

I had a good season. I did a major road trip, solo, route 66 from Chicago to the west coast, came back through Independence Pass, Nebraska, Iowa. That was the first two weeks of July when the heat wave hit the Southwest. The Friday I rode into California through the Mojave it was 115 degrees. Pretty warm.
Did a second road trip with a buddy down to Muscle Shoals in September. We were dodging Irma, and road through some pretty nasty storm debris along the Cherahola Skyway and Moonshiner 28, but it was a great trip overall.
Now the wait....

Wife is in late-stage MS and I can't leave her alone for more than an hour or so, so no trips this year. I do most of my errands on the bike, and have gotten to a few nice nearby places.
Added some chrome, and 12" apes. Big improvement over the stock (RK) bars, but not quite right. Gonna try WO 518s next. New battery, after many years. Got a set of lifters, haven't got them in yet, starting to get lifter noise on a hot start. I'll do rockouts at the same time.
