Default Your riding season wrap up

Now that its getting cold and snowy in places, what did you do this season as you look back? New bike? Major trips? Accomplishments?

Me.. It was an interesting year. I only rode about 400 miles due to an injury and inablity to sit on a bike for a period of time... Well I wrecked my bike, first time in 45 years of riding. I bought a new 17 HSTC to replace my old RK. Then very late season I got a great deal on a 99 Triumph Trophy 1200. No big trips.. I did retake the MSF class and practiced the Jerry Paladino video stuff..

What did y'all do?

As usual, didn't get to ride as much as I would have like.
Rode to Myrtle Beach Bike Week with some friends and had an awesome time.
Got a new LED headlight while I was there.
Also installed LED signals as well as a new solo touring seat.

Did my normal rides around the state:
Seneca Rocks
Spruce ****
Highland Scenic Highway
Snow Shoe and Canaan Valley

Work had me traveling allot this year, however I did get to visit Harley shops in Australia, India, and multiple Canadian locations, as well as Washington, Idaho, Texas, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Already making plan for bike week next year.

There is no riding season for me living in Florida. No big trip this year mainly because my Fat Boy engine blew up so that put a bike out of commission for 6 weeks right in the middle of summer, and Hurricane Irma. I took a bunch of short ones like Bike Week, Biketoberfest and of course the Florida Crew Rally which was last weekend.

Had planned for two big trips one solo & one with a small group.
The small group one fell through.
The solo one went off without a hitch.
I visited my Father then the kids (and grand kids) at school, and finished up by visiting my best friend on the way home.
As for motorcycles, I did some work to the ultra before trading it off on the new Deluxe.
Slowly working on all the mods I want to do to the Deluxe..... that will continue into next year (at least).
Already working on next years trip/trips and having the bike ready for them.
Still looking for that allusive project bike.... someday.
Plan on riding through the winter (on the nicer days) weather permitting.

Iike the op, I have been sitting out the bulk of the year due to an injury. Had tickets for the AMA flat track races at Sturgis but was in the hospital while they were going on. Did manage to get several thousand miles of riding in before going in the Hospital though.

Fortunatly for me I live in AZ so whenever I’m recovered enough to ride again, it might be stupid cold (I live at about 5,400 feet) but normally we don’t see much snow so I should be able to jump back in the Bike.

Just looking forward to some good riding when I’m able to ride again.

Since the riding season here is pretty much all year long, I don't do anything. I cover it and hook up the tender...but that's after each ride. Nope, no storage being done here.

bought my (stock) 2017 FLTRU in Mid July. Rode to/from Sturgis from Detroit area. Was great.

In September, during a trip to northern lower Michigan, The engine blew (sumping) at about 5600 miles.

Warranty replacement engine lasted only 300 miles, it blew up in early October. (again, sumping)

Third engine will likely be in the bike by the end of the week.
