Help... Ignition key stuck

Father put ignition key in, and now we cannot get it out. 2017 Screamin Eagle. Any tricks? Any advice?? Thanks!!!

it may need lubrication. a drop or two of some oil may get it loose. wd40 is a solvent, i wouldn't use that.

I don't think that is an ignition key, just a fork lock. (I'm not really sure what model a "screaming eagle" is?) On my '17 Road Glide, you have to have it completely in either the lock or unlock position to get it out. Push down to turn. I would never, except in a dire emergency, put oil, WD-40 or any other liquid in a lock. Perhaps try to work some powdered graphite around the key, into the lock.

Make sure its not the fork lock, that one turns and sometimes sticks. Try moving the handle bars real quick, if it is the fork lock theyll stop and the key will be easier to remove. Sometimes it needs the bars wiggled a bit to take the pressure off tge key.

If its the ignition key try wiggling it. Dont yank and dont use any oil just yet. It shouldnt need that as its a 2017. My guess is its something catching but not sticking.

I too am wondering what kind of bike a Screaming Eagle is.

There are more than a few folks who believe CVO and SE are the same thing.

yeah, and it doesn't help that the moco uses abbreviations like fltrxse2, or serg, etc.

it also doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if someone says screamin eagle, they mean cvo....

and, in point of fact, prior to 2009, the moco did call them 'screamin eagle' bikes

There are lock lubricants available at local auto parts stores.
Is this the ignition or fork lock?
