Avoid Ron, I could tell you some stuff you would not like knowing about him.

rode those kinds of bikes all the time. does anyone remember the straight top transmissions ? they made it with a neutral between every gear. some liked them and some didn't. i have a buddy with a derake ridge frame with a 22 inch over front end on it right now and you can't even see pass the gas tank. nut machine for such. you would think at 65 years of age he would beat to death by this thing, but it's all he's ever ridden his entire life.

This is what we rode in the 60's and 70's. There was no front brake and only a rear mechanical or hydraulic drum brake.

I've ridden a similar layout, hardtail, long front end, with a foot clutch and the shifter **** under your thigh on a short lever on the transmission. Comfort, none, handling, somewhere south of dangerous; it was awesome, made you feel like a man to ride that beast.

Really clean chopper! Thanks for sharing.
My chopped 65 panhead. Was riding this as a teenager. If a kid can ride one... well, let's not go there.
I still have the pan covers to this bike. Wish I had the rest of it in my garage.

I want to build another bike like that. 15 years ago I had a 1973 Triumph long bike. Done right they handle and are comfortable. I even used all Lucas electrics!

I'm putting this Shovel together right now...probably won't be as clean as the OP but similar proportions. Frame will be chromed.

Definitely a looker. But ya, would have to get used to that rake. I'd ride it. Would love the challenge, but probably on easy turns to start.
