Exhaust painting
Searched this but I’m gonna ask again because a fair number of the posts concerning the subject where a bit dated. I have black Wyatt Gatling exhaust on my 2014 Street Bob. I bought the bike this past July. The heat shields look nice, a great dark black. However the muffler portion is graying out some. Not the nice dark black I want. I want to paint them. I considered ceramic coating but finding someone to do it close by is a big no! As for painting I have read that VHT paint grays after a short time. How about Rustoleum high temp paint? Also saw mention of John Deere muffler paint. Looking for suggestions or your experience with painting your exhaust. Tia

To keep from "graying" you may need to reapply paint often, unfortunately.
I checked "Hammerite" for high temp coatings but they have nothing.
How about getting "Jet Hot" coating done on the inside diameter of your exhaust system? This should reduce the heat felt on the outside pipe surface. This should reduce graying.
