You get used to it when you ride a RoadKing.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Just got back from a little ride, beautiful “winter” weather here in SoCal. I was sitting at a light, in my peripheral vision I noticed a guy to my right. I thought I heard him say something, so I turned, lifted up my face shield and said “What was that, young man”? (He was probably 80). He smiled and stated “That sure is a nice Harley, love the color”. I smiled at him and replied “Thank you, this one was part of my divorce therapy!”, he smiled a huge smile and gave me a big thumbs up. I told him to have a good day and clutched away, with an equally big smile on my face. That’s what humans do (at least in my world) make each other smile. Having someone comment on my Harley (or any of my vehicles) makes me smile very time. Little kid, old guy, hot chick, I don’t care, elicits a smile without fail. So I can only reiterate the comment/reply of ChickinOnaChain: No.

The other day I got a compliment on my shoes, so I went to the Vans forum and started a thread complaining about it.

I had a very old lady in an SUV remark on my '16 FLHTK in Port Jervis, NY. Kinda surprised me. And I'd only had it about 2-hours and was on my way home with it.

Maybe she rode back in the day.....

And no, it doesn't get old.

With my 2015 Fat Boy (Vivid Black, tons of chrome) I have simply had to get used to the extreme high volume of compliments that the bike attracts. It is a burden that I must carry. I try to do it with grace.

Every time I ride it's another bike compliment to have to accept and say Thanks for...what's this freaking world coming to?

I don’t get many, I guess cause it’s white. Maybe it reminds folks of a cop bike. Who knows? I love white. So there.

Had a buddy of mine purchase a new Goldwing and before riding it he had a CSC trike kit installed, 45k to 50k all in. When I purchased my FLHTKL he remarked that he liked the color and really liked the pipes, don't know if i can convert him, won't try real soon.
