Alright it was chilly here today and I went for a ride. The first leg I rode without gloves. My hands had a good frozen feel. So on the ride back I wore my gloves.
Now I've never put much thought into it, but I did not like the way the bars felt. It's almost like no feeling of the bike. The feel of the road isn't the same.
Am I the only one who n has this sensation? Or anyone else notice this?
Some gloves are worse than others, I prefer snug deerskin gloves and still have good feel. Some others I have used do reduce the feel of the bike to a degree, but It’s not enough to concern me.
Hell it was 60 here in Florida today had my gloves with me didn’t use them tuffed it out, my bike will never move anywhere in 40 degree weather. Way too cold for me I’ll do some riding this week end just to use my leather for the year.
I learned in gloves and ride 90%+ in gloves so that's what feels right to me. CLOSE fitting deer or pig works for me. Others like kangaroo or steer. I don't like padded palms. Some do...

As mentioned - glove material & fit - has a big affect on sensation / feedback
But so to does grip size..., and composition (material made from)
Not getting enough feel w/ gloves - look at different grips
I never ride without eye protection or gloves, no matter the weather. I'm always catching debris to the knuckles and bugs to the face. A couple times I pulled off without gloves and it felt uncomfortable.
