What RPM do you use for traveling?
If I'm in a hurry, I'll use 60% of redline.
If I'm in no particular hurry, then about 40%.
I notice I lose 60 miles of range when at 60% vs. 40%.
What do you travel at?
2016 FXDL, btw.

In Touring bikes after 2007 MY, 3000 RPM in 6th gear = 80 MPH so most people use idle to 3500 RPM 95% of the time.

I'm running more than 3000 rpm at 80mph on my 15 Ultra. Closer to 3200 if I remember correctly but certainly more than 3000. Stock pulleys.
Just for reference this pic was taken by my wife in Wyoming on the way to South Dakota.

I like the cruise at 3000 or a little better for extended periods. Whatever gear is called for at the time.
