Default Sena Momentum Helmet - Any feedback?

I have been looking at this helmet but it is so new there are no user reviews at all that I can find. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has used one and what your thoughts are.

The Momentum helmet is a line of helmets with varying functions/features. the one that I've had my sights set on is this one:

https://www.sena.com/product/momentum-helmet/

The Momentum INC (intelligent Noise Control) is supposed to block out harmful wind, road, etc noise to protect the riders ears and minimize hearing loss/fatigue. I wouldn't have given this helmet a second thought a year ago. Never gave thought about the possibility of hearing loss and chronic Tinnitus as a result of wind noise (many other factors related to my hearing loss, though).

Now, I protect my ears(plugs/FF) every time I get on my bike, whether I'm riding 1 mile or 3,000 miles. I hate wearing ear plugs and I hate wearing anything other than a half helmet, but I LOVE riding and will do whatever it takes to continue.

What I like (although it's all theory now) about the Momentum INC helmet is that it has an "ambient mode" on the helmet. When you press the ambient mode button, you can better hear whats going on around you. I can't stand pulling up to a gas station and having someone strike up a conversation when I have the plugs in. The INC helmet has hefty price tag at $549, but I'm going to give it a go when it comes out.

Just an update ...I received an email from Sena today explaining that they put out an initial release but there was a problem (they didn't explain what), that has not been corrected and they do not have a date for the new release.

I got one just before Christmas. Just finished my bike build so I don't have a lot of time with it.

My initial impression is very good. The helmet is lightweight, comfortable and good looking. The bluetooth and intercom work flawlessly. My only gripe is the the shield does not have a detent except for all the way open. I am really gonna miss being able to crack the shield one notch while riding.

The helmet in this pic is the SENA

I did see the recall. They are saying the shield can open up on its own from the wind...

The one year warranty will cover that if it happens and i will be able to swap the helmet out for the new and improved. Hopefully they put detents all the way up and down the shield range of motion.
The new release date is March 2018 so we shall see!

I suppose they'll have to come out with an HD version for a Hundred Dollars more that will interface properly with the WHIM module and actually play in stereo?
