Lombardi HD in Staten Island in the early 90s had a female mechanic. She rebuild the gearbox and primary of my FXRs (sheared off bolt wreaking havoc). Knew her stuff.

 

Met a young lady mech at Glacier HD in Kalispell, MT. Lots of tats and is/was a bartender in Dutch Harbor during the riding slow season.

 

Wendy Crockett not only is a mc mechanic but she owns her own independent shop.

At age 40 she already has logged 500,000 miles with many records. She has ridden all 49 States and all but one Canadian Province, ocean to ocean in less than 50 hours,Canada to Mexico in under 24 hours, the four extreme corners in the US in less than 10 days, four 11 day 11K Iron Butt rides,two 13K+ Iron Butt Rallyes in 11 days and the list goes on and on with podium finishes and a win in many long distance rallies.

For her honeymoon she and her husband rode to Inuvik above the Arctic Circle.

Not in the 40 years I have had motorcycles. Been to many dealerships over the years and never saw a female mechanic working at any of them I went to.

 

Nor have I. But given the propensity for women to be O-C about details, I would have zero problems letting one work on my machine.

I've never seen one but I wouldn't care, as long as she knew her stuff.
