There are lots of watering holes there.....grab a beer, get a seat, and watch the colored water fountain. Relaxing way to end the day.....those fountains are huge...probably football field size with a couple hundred chairs for people to sit and watch all the way around them.

And you've got that place right there that makes/sells moonshine and can get samples....

Well, the point of this thread was to get suggestions for places that weren’t right in the immediate area where I’m staying. Guess I didn’t make that clear enough.

I’d like to find some good places, or towns with a few bar choices, that I can make as a stop while we are out riding for the day. Say, an hour or two away from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg since I’m already aware that there would be plenty of options right where we are staying. Bike friendly places of course.

Historic Tapoco Lodge Resort. This is just south of Deals Gap on Rt 129. They were just finishing up building a nice patio when we were there last year. We were ready for a break after riding the Dragon. Nice place to relax and have a couple cold ones.

Default My bar is open

It is a little out of your way, probably 400 miles or so, but the bar is full and always open. When are you planning to do this ride?

There are some places in Bryson City, We have stopped at Anthony's a few times, good food. There is a brewery just across the parking lot from the restaurant, we have not been in there but it looks like a nice place.

2nd full week in June. Riding down from WNY, so it’ll be about 11 hours or so and we’re gonna split it into 2 days down and 2 back just so we can take our time. We’ll have 4 full days of riding while there. Not looking to make concrete plans for each day but I’d like to start formulating some ideas at least.

Fellow new yorker here. Never been to the smokey mts. But dude, you GOTTA check out the "smokey mountain chopper fest" on "you tube". Should be going on about the same time that you'll be down there. Very cool stuff! I may try to figure out how to make it there yet. Think it belongs on my bucket list. Have a good trip.

Tons of great rides, but you sure must not mind huge crowds and traffic congestion. We always bypassed Gatlinburg.
