Favorite Service/Parts guy left
Well I just lost my inside connection at the local dealership. My youngest son had been at the dealership for about 4 years in parts and then as a service writer and just took another job. He really enjoyed his job, the people he worked with, and the people he met.
Lots of people knock dealerships for various reasons, but I have to say, they were more than good with him. They adjusted his work schedule, while he was going to college, and allowed him time off every time he had a test for a job or interview.
So now I'm just another customer, no more inside track on abused trade-ins and used take-offs. Proud of him and happy about his career move.

He was hired by the same Natural Gas Pipeline company I work for as a Measurement Technician. Pretty sweet job, not locked into the same location, some routine work but enough troubleshooting to keep it interesting, and upside for his future.
I've been doing it for 20 years and as a whole, definitely the best job I've had.
