New Milwaukee 8 oil-cooled engine runs VERY hot
#21
I have 114 on my cvo and i haven't noticed the engine heat. I drove thru the deserts out west last summer when posted temps were 116 . i was rolling pretty good but slowed for traffic in san diego and vegas and no unusual issues.

Well I missed the first one. I find it kind of interesting. Is he having an oil circulation issue?

Every twinkie over 95" I've ridden has been an outright ball cooker even my buddies 03 88" RG is uncomfortable to me, the 17 M8 RK has never been a heat issue even in the middle of summer in town commute traffic.
Heard people say they are hot but I've yet to feel it, lack of heat on the test ride is what sold me on buying.

I have an 08 cvo 110 with a stage one with a good dump tune...runs reasonably cool based on what alot of people say about the 110. This past summer I test rode a road king with a stage 4 at americade, it was a pretty warm day and in the final leg of the demo ride it was typical traffic coming back into the village with some idiot double parked really backing things up for a good ten minutes of go ten feet stop, go ten feet stop and while this is my only experience with the m8 I thought it handled it great...if it was running hot it sure wasn't getting near me. I really wanted that bike lol.
And yes it hauled ***
