My Heritage 2003 had a backrest and my Ultra 2015 too. No long rides withour a backrest. The type of bike invites to have a backrest and it affords me to make rides of over 700 miles per day..

I have a grasshopper on the road king and it was very easy to install and goes on and comes off very easy.

Thanks for telling me about the edit button. I'm still learning how to use the site.

All of my pre Harley bikes growing up had back rests/luggage rack combos, the telescopic kind that slide forward when needed and back when not. 2 Harleys in and no backrest even though it is 34 years later. I sometimes wonder what's wrong with me, LOL. In 2 weeks my Lepera Maverick ships, I almost ordered one with the removable backrest but the bucket felt supportive enough without.

So, never having used one, some questions. I run a stock seat & and a stock Ultra (take-off) seat with tour pack when riding 2 up. I'm guessing you have to remove the backrest if there's a passenger? Will the backrest work back and forth on both seats?
