Default Man Harley is sure moving slow on the 100 new bikes

I thought we would be seeing 3 or 4 new Softails for March , but here we are and all we got was 2 more sportster clones .
I really like to see some new gas tank shapes and maybe a console that has all LED gauges .

Yeah I was afraid they would pull the Chevy truck thing, and have one truck and 12 different sticker packages!

I have been waiting since August to see if the mid year would bring something great. I was even willing to consider a sportster, so long as it got a 6 spd. Honestly, I was really hoping to see something as sexy as a FTR1200 and could beat a scout. After seeing the "new" AMF paint jobs on the "new" sportsters I've decided H-D isn't going to build new bikes that I want.

Calling it a day and going with a KTM 1290 SAR. 160HP AND off road riding is hard to pass up.

Later H-D.

P.S. good luck winning a flat track race. Oh, If you do come up with new bikes don't give them to a bunch of rich *** holes like last year. Pick someone from this forum who doesn't own 2 or 3 bikes already and who has shared his wisdom in the forums without being a ***** ... Also, give one to a young military member just returning from a tour overseas. Those bastards deserve a free bike more than anyone.

This was going to be the year I finally picked up that second Harley. I was so disappointed back in August of 2017 when I saw what the 18's looked like. There is nothing offered at the moment that interests me. I keep hoping ever week that Harley will introduce a mid year model that will get me excited, but I'm starting to lose hope. My attention is starting to wonder outside the MOCO.

I test rode a Triumph "bobber" yesterday... the 1200 twin is deceivingly quick and stops like right now. Not all the bells and whistles of a touring bike but solid and well engineered. The roll on tq in high gear was impressive out of the twin. It would be tough to give up the comforts of a touring rig but it would be really nice to have as a second in line. The suspension is probably as good or better than factory HD touring offerings. And at a hair over 500lbs, the thing feels like an overpowered Huffy. I liked the hell out of it.

I'd like a 7.5 gallon tank and a digital speedometer.
