Don't waste your money. I did. I think it has to do with the housing or lens not the bulb.

Do yourself a favor and do it once and do it right. Save your money and get Custom Dynamic products.

I’ve read that the reflectors inside the light housings are designed specifically for one type of bulb and don’t perform as well with other types.

The whole purpose of LED bulbs on a vehicle is better visibility, right? So why would you spend money on substandard LEDs that are LESS visible? Doesn’t make sense to me.

I had Custom Dynamics on my last two bikes and they put out some serious light. I want cagers to be able to see me as easily as possible, and I want to see as far as possible. I’d rather have my stock lights that people can see ( brake light especially) than some off-brand stuff that no one can see from more than 5° off center.

But maybe that’s just me.

Definitely agree...don't tempt fate w/being el cheapo on one of the biggest safety features on bike (lighting)...save the cash & do it right. Hell, get a part-time job to support your bike upgrades, if needed.

I bought front turn signal LEDs for 35 and rear ones for 16 bucks off of a company called Oz USA. He's fairly new and has great prices. The lights are great and just what I would've got from one of the other big name companies.

I don't dick around with lighting on our bikes. Any LED mods I've done have been Custom Dynamics. On the occasion that an individual LED or two has gone out, they've replaced with no questions, no problems.
I've done the bargain LED shopping for my 2017 F250. Some of it worked out OK, some not so much and I returned it.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood your post a little. This is the type of LED bulb I tried. I had a buddy ride my bike so I could see what they were talking about, and it was very hard to see out on the road. It was so “directional” that from certain angles it was bright, other angles it almost looked non existent. I’d steer clear of something like this.

After this experience I went back to stock. On the new bike I went with Custom Dynamics. Sure, they aren’t $20 cheap, but they are definitely worth 5x times more, without a doubt.

Thank you very much for all the comments. I might consider rather save money and do Customs Dynamics for blinkers as yes safety is more important than looks for me but I have to say comments about OZ manufacturer made me wonder a bit too. Can someone post some pix of OZ and Custom Dynamics lights in blinkers. That will be awesome.

I still would like to come back to headlight and passing light options as here looks like visibility is not as much of an issue as with blinkers. Will headlight with new led bulbs I found and mentioned post be still viable option? Looking at the pictures and reviews this is super bright I am just curious about "real" high/low light functionality.

Please keep it coming as all these are great comments.

I’ll go back to what said earlier...the reflectors and housings that are designed for Halogen bulbs probably won’t perform as well with an LED bulb insert. They may look bright like they do in the photo but I’d be concerned with the light thrown down the road, the beam pattern, the cutoff, etc.

I installed LED headlight assemblies in my last 2 bikes, one was a HD Daymaker Reflector and the other was an off brand LED projector. The Daymaker was noticeably better than the stock light as well as the off brand in my Dyna. The off brand wasn’t that good but it was a little better than the stock headlight. I didn’t try just the LED bulb so I can’t compare those, but I personally don’t think I’d try it.

But - your bike, your call.
