A VARY RARE Springer find
Too good to be true? Perhaps but be mindful this is on CL. 1996 Springer with 180 miles. The only picture posted is of the odometer but the ad says contact for video. Asking 13K. I sure would like to see the rest of the bike!!!

I believe he just thinks the mileage alone will sell it. LOTS of low mileage springers out there...people bought them new thinking they would be collectable...there was a 95 Badboy on ebay with 6 miles...which he claimed most came from pushing it around.

I doubt it's a scam
A little high on the price.
Not an experienced seller, else would have a LOT more pics.
Mine will be on CL soon, can't ride much more...back really shot, big medical bills coming up for treatment of back. I can't claim low miles though, somewhere up close to 50k.

what's very rare about it? just the miles? I'll pass thanks. while I love a springer, the only thing "special" about this bike is that he didn't ride it.
To top it off, at his full asking price, his return on investment sucked. Original MSRP on a 2 tone '96 springer was $14,030. So assuming he negotiated a discount to $13k, he's selling his investment bike for exactly what he paid.
it's like taking money and putting in a shoebox for 12 years. Figuring inflation figures, he lost almost $8000 with his 180 miles of enjoyment

Low miles on such an old bike means a lotta time and money to replace gaskets and seals...not to mention rings, quite possibly. And it isn' a super desirable bike to many folks, anyway, although there is a niche market for it.
To me, the mileage is offset by the work that would be needed to get it back on the road reliably without leaking. That puts it into the $5000-6000 range, tops, in my mind.
