With that being said I don't think too many that read your thread understood, myself included. Never knew they made shocks for bikes and too many alternatives out there. I have not been on the forum very long but have read a lot about suspension since being here. This is the first I recall reading about Monroe.

Hats off to the guy that did the video and install. Nice and clean.

As for the pressure up side that seems not only slow but noisy.

I guess for custom bikes that you want to drop to the ground it is fine. I am a rider and ride, control and handling are more important. I stick with Pro-Action coil overs.

Thanks all interesting thread.

Ride safe

I just don’t think that with the downsides listed because of heat that it would not be very dependable.....read the part where the guy just switched all back to Progressive...that tells all to me.

This thread has got me to thinking about going to a wrecking yard and measuring shocks, on smaller lighter cars, and buying the right pair new from the parts house, and giving it a shot. It wont matter how they look because they will be hid by the saddle bags.

One of my prospects put a set on his Electra Glide. OMG, talk about plush!!!
Nothing I have ridden comes cloes or compares to those air shocks. Now, don't confuse a proper handling shock from progressive to Ohlins. They are a much more compliant ride, but nothing was like that Cadillac marshmallow ride I could adjust those air shocks into. Definitely an acquired taste, but I sure liked it.

I have a set of air shocks from Arnott.
They use Alden shocks.
They have worked well for the last seven years.
I see that there are many more options available now at much lower prices but I am happy with what I have.
I mounted my air gauge on the inner fairing and I have button controls at the left grip.
I have never had a problem the the shocks or the compressor.
I you blow a line or have some other problem and dump all of the air, it will ride like crap but nothing will rub.
