Here we go again......
Lane splitting gives me back at least an hour a day of my life I'd spend sitting in traffic otherwise and I can't count the rear enders I've avoided by being between lanes or moving to the front of the pack at a light.
Isn't for everyone.

You first.....
Given the lack if any widespread experience here amongst US drivers, I will wait a few years before trying it. My first experience with lane splitting was in Greece, and I was impressed by how well in worked there.
Here, yikes!

+1 And I've noticed cagers seem to be getting cooler about making way. Didn't used to be that way. Just my experience.

That is the part I like. Even pulling in between the cars on the freeway and matching speed would be great. Flying through traffic at four times the speed of traffic I have no interest in doing. I know that wasn't the idea when splitting became legal but its exactly what it turned into. I can deal with the traffic, I just don't like the idea of getting plowed from behind. In any situation.

Who is at fault when a car does not see a lane splitter in his lane? Who has the right of way?
What if a lane splitter is trying to get past me and I do not see him and I maneuver in my lane a bit, and he is forced into the other lane and he gets killed. Who is at fault?
In case you have not figured it out, as a car driver I do not like lane splitters. Period. I think it is seriously dangerous.
