Thank you all, I really appreciate all the prayers. Please keep em coming. At this time, he’s not awake, if he does come around you can believe I’ll be making the drive. He’s the kind of person that I will drop everything for. He moved to south Virginia about 10 years ago (7 hours from me). One night he called me around 1030, as I was answering the phone I was also running around getting dressed as I was ready to get in the car and start driving. My wife did not question me at all, she knows how much he means to me. I thought he was in trouble and was ready at a moments notice. As it turned out he called to ask my opinion of him trading his fat boy for another dresser.
If he does regain consciousness I will be there immediately. I’m not hopeful that he will though, he’s very sick and his body is tired. He’s put up a good fight but this is one he can’t win.
For now, I have been going down memory lane all day. I don’t have a lot of friends because honestly I just don’t like most people. Art is truly one of my best friends. He traveled all the way up from Virginia when I got married at the court house. He was the only invite I sent. When the magistrate asked if I had a best man, I immediately asked Art instead of my 3 blood brothers. I remember the pride that overcame him and how he beamed. What he didn’t know is there was no one else I would have ever considered for the job. That’s just one of so many awesome memories
