Do not care what people wear, just make sure you have your own private health Insurance . As a working tax payer I do not want to pay for anyones medical bills for their life choices, live and let live but not on my dime .

I burned my leg on a mini bike when I was a boy, very bad, had a scar there for years. Safety wasn't big in the 70s. I'm ATGATT now.

Exactly! I have a 2" round scar on my right leg from wearing shorts and touching my calf to the exhaust pipe when I got off the bike about 15 years ago. Still bothers me, took forever to heal, and dr. now says it was bad enough that I probably should have had a skin graft. No more wearing shorts and riding.

I’ve taken a few short in-town rides in shorts (yeah, I know, you can drop it anytime, anywhere) and I think there’s one pic floating around of me riding in shorts at Myrtle or Daytona once...but 99.999% of the time I wear jeans. Of jeans & chaps if it’s cold or raining.

But I’m also guilty of riding in a t-shirt and no helmet, so what do I know???

I don’t know if this is a serious question or not but if you can’t figure out the shortfalls (pun intended) for wearing shorts on a motorcycle, then you shouldn’t own one. Secondly, if you have to ask what is “cool” or not, you’re trying too hard at life and you need to just do your own thing and not worry about others, especially what they’re wearing.

Its Memorial Day. Don’t strain your brain so much, go have a picnic or something. Grill hot dogs.

To each their own but why would you ? Ive seen 1st hand at dudes who were riding 1/2 naked and sure isnt pretty when they land on the big nail file aka "The Road " Debridement is legalized torture and a good reminder among other fun injuries as to why its smart choice to wear protective gear when riding.

Shorts are NOT a good idea on a bike. Found that out when I was first learning to ride. When I put my foot down to get off the bike, swinging my leg over the seat caused my leg I was standing on to lean into the pipe, giving me 2nd or 3rd degree burns, and left some skin still on the pipe. I couldn't get that skin off, and it stank to high heaven for MONTHS afterwards! I realize it may SEEM "cooler" to do so, but it's NOT worth the risks. I would suggest getting the kevlar woven jeans, instead, so you don't have to wear anything else over them, and you'll still get the protection you will WANT in case the worst happens.

Padded bike shorts or do you like it to sting when a wet towel slaps your cheeks?

But should he use a gas or a charcoal grill? Can he only use mustard or is ketchup cool? And have you SEEN what’s in hot dogs? Maybe turkey dogs would be a safer alternative. And the buns are too high in carbs. Would whole wheat be better? Doesn’t grilling cause cancer...and destroy the ozone layer? There’s too much stuff to worry about...I can’t take it anymore!!!!!
