A dilemma, I needed to bring a 12 pack of beer to a campsite, and wanted to keep it cool. No bungee cords, rope or cooler. So...this was the result:

I took the picture a little late, lol.

Strange that there were no comments on this post.

Ok! I'll give ya a reply.
XRX in his infinite wisdom will read your post and tell you it's not a good idea for you to not balance the load in your bags like that.
So from now on load the beer in equal amounts on both sides and alternate which bag you drink from everytime!
Oh! Don't forget that the ice will probably melt faster on the side of the pipes so don't forget extra ice to compensate for any melting.
Better catch the water from the melting ice too!
Just so you can calculate exactly the loss of load from one side to the other. And don't forget to wear your tripple armored super duper no scuff gloves while handeling ice!
That stuff can be cold!
There ya go!

Maybe because lots of us have done that before, probably going back years and years, so not worth commenting on. Sort of like a "look how I put air in my tires" kind of post.

This here. It’s not like you’re the first person to think of this. That’s been going on since motorcycles had saddlebags.

I think I like this thread better than the hair styling thread.

And to add some technical aspect to my post, you need to add 1% more ice to the exhaust side.

Not OEM beer. Your warranty is now void.

The suck part of the new bags on Harley Davidson is the way they open outboard. Back in the day the Heritages bags open from the road side so you could ride up along sides and grab a beer while riding down the road.

Yeah but the new bags make it easier for the rider to open it on their own and pass them out to the others.
