2018 Hearitage Classic vs Road King
I have searched and read the older threads and know this is subjective in many ways but wondering if now that its later in the year if anything has changed.
I am 5'10 so probably both will fit well, although I do have a bit of a belly.
I never owned a HD, did have a vulcan 900 and 1600 Nomad.
Going tomorrow to look at them in person.

Ride them both. One of the dealers had a demo day a few months back, and I rode just about all of the 2018 models. The Heritage was nice, but with the rigid mount, it (and the other softail models) seemed to have lots more vibration in the handlebars at higher speeds vs the touring bikes. I had to make this decision back in 2015/16 when I was looking (also considered the Dyna Switchback), and I decided the Road King was the bike for me. After riding the new ones, if I had to buy a new one today, I would go with the King again.

The Heritage has a sportier chassis, the Road King is more suitable for long rides.
The Heritage is cheaper (comes standard with ABS & Security), the Road King is 101 lbs heavier.
The Heritage can be gotten with a 114ci engine, the Road King's fuel tank is 1 gallon bigger (5 gal vs 6 gal).
The seat height of the Heritage is an inch lower, the Road King has better lean angles (27.3/28.5 vs. 32/32).
To me the Road King is more practical with it's longer range, more comfort, and bigger hard bags, and it just looks better. I'm not a fan of the new Heritage design.

I road both last fall I chose the Road King and 13,000 miles on it i have zero regrets.
Here is a pretty fair comparison of the 2 that I would have to agree with. If link doesn't work just search Matt Laidlaw Road King Heritage comparison.
