Default Cellphone charging....need help

Greetings,

I picked up the HD cigarette lighter 12v charger yesterday to mount to the bike to charge my cell phone. I also run a V&H FP3 that uses what I believe is the accessory port in the electric box where the fuses are. Am I correct in thinking that both the FP3 and the HD cigarette lighter 12vh both use the same accessory port? If so, is there a way to run both?

Don't know if this will help you but when I bought a cigarette lighter for mt Road Glide I had to also install an HD accessory switch which cost $150.00.

Do you have a battery tender set-up on your bike?

If so,

Or look behind your headlight or under your seat for an orange wire with a white stripe( switched power). Tap into that wire for positive and find a ground on the frame....

The FP3 uses the diagnostic port, not the accessory port. You're good to go.

Excellent! Thank you! Is the accessory port typically found under the seat amongst all the wiring?
