Ram mount holders are pretty good.

I got this a couple months ago and I am quite satisfied with it. Holds the phone firmly and also has a silicone sling for added security. Checked out ram but didn't like the plastic. Rather spend a few more bucks for something holding a $800 phone..

Check out Leader Motorcycle. They are quality accessories, so they are not necessarily the cheapest. If you can live with the looks, the waterproof ecaddy works great.

I put a 3" strip of 2" wide velcro on the inside of the faring ... on the left - opposite side of where the little storage door is. Then, I put the other side of the velcro strip on the back of the phone case (a $5 Body Glove from Amazon). Push it on, rip it off. Holds very firm. Easy to see; easy to reach. Phone rarely gets wet, even in pretty good rain.

Did this on the tank bib of my FXDF, too. 7 years and zero issues.
