Default What should i buy?

I totaled my TriGlide in May on my way back from Rolling Thunder. Broke my nose, rib, neck and left shoulder.

I just had the shoulder operation Monday. Excrusiating pain all day yesterday after the block wore off. Doubled dose on medication and all is OK today. Now the challenge begins = what should I do for a replacement for my 14 TG?

Only got $24K from insurance. Would like some input and thoughts on a 14,15 or16 TG. I was contemplating a 17, but my H-D mechanic said I should stay away from the 17's. He doesn't have any skin in the game so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and concentrate on the 14 to 16 models, besides they're more affordable.

My dealer said there are no differences between those years other then something about Blue Tooth which I don't care about.

Depending on mileage (usually low for each year) what would be, in you opinion, the pros and cons of each of those years?

I need some fuel for thought.

Thanks, but that's not a TriGlide. It wouldn't hold up to all my yearly long distance trips - comfortably.

...love my '16 TriGlide and have put only 3800+ miles on it since buying it at Hale's HD in Mansfield, Ohio. Was out there at demo days 2wks ago and in their showroom they had a Vivid Black '16 TriGlide with "30" original miles for $29,995.

...if you check CycleTrader, there is no shortage of TriGlides for sale. Good luck on your search!!!

I have checked Cycletrader - I think most prices are way out of line. Almost every TG for sale has extremely low miles.....which is a good thing. I even saw a few 2017's for $29999, but were too far away or the wrong color. I've got a couple months to look. What I'm looking for here is what are the different opinions between the 14's - 15's and 16's. Does any one year stand out - does any one have more issues then the others?

DC4MPV it's still a sportster - not a long distance tourer. If I was just going to ride locally I'd get a 48.

If you totaled a Tri Glide perhaps you should consider a Hummer.
OR
Mileage, color, location, and options are the only significant factors to consider.

Well that and price.

Wait, I remember hearing the cup holders were superior for the 2015 model.
(also, happy to hear you are recovering)

Sorry to hear about your accident. I feel my two wheeled days are numbered due to health reasons & the number of distracted drivers on the road.
Ever consider something other than 3 wheels?
I' m considering a open top 32 Ford street rod or Jeep as my next money pit.

Gary.... the 14 thru 16 is essentially the same machine. The only difference I can imagine is the 16's have the slimmer primary cover like the Touring 2 wheelers. Of course the colors change too. I would think you could find something that the insurance check will cover.
