In that segment you’re competing for the wallet of the young, the Kaw and Yamaha Streetfighters are their biggest competition.

If they follow the FXDR model. They'll deliver an overpriced under performing bike compared to the competition. They'll be hoping for the late 30s guys that want the Harley bad boy name to pay sticker bump and then more to the dealer to make it look, run and sound right.

It's funny that HD is copying other bike styles now. The FXDR looks like they were shooting for a Yamaha Vmax. The above are similar. How about that? HD copying jap bike styles?

I'm all for the mothership getting into the 21st century but at the core the MoCo has to retain a traditional looking V-twin engine, anything else it just doesn't have that century plus old soul the public wants at heart. May be a smaller more elite line but it still needs to be there for the company to remain Harley Davidson.
That really is the way to go. Keep the traditional line. Then have the electric line, Then the new line. That way maybe just maybe HD would actually compete in price and performance with the competition while still owning the cruiser and touring market.

It is my favorite of what they have revealed but I am too old and way past that style of riding. I hope this one and the others bring new young riders to the brand.
