Harley Pan America 1250

In order to sell something there has to be an interest, harley buyers spoke with the wallet at the time they wanted the traditional look and feel of Harley Davidson. While a decent idea Buell was a case of very bad timing and iffy styling. Just didn't appeal to the larger public.

Buell was targeted to sportbike and adventure bike riders, not the typical Harley buyer. According to an article printed on the May 2010 issue of Cycle World Magazine, Eric Buell was handed a bad deal, clubbed over the head and steamrolled by H-D.

I'm thinking, Harley is a little late to the Adventure Bike market place, all of the other guys have
been making Adventure Bikes for a few years now. Young buyers are not interested in 60 year
Sportster design or history, they will go for the modern design Bikes. I hope the marketplace will
take to the new Harley models, Harley has to drop some old models to make room for new ones.

LMAO....always love a good hater post by Dickey. Have you ever been to Japan Dickey? It's a lovely country, the riding is amazing and the cities are spotless, I am always impressed by how well they do so many things there each time I visit.
Anyways, the ADV segment is mostly dominated by the Euro builders, nothing rice about it.
I understand your frustration Dickey, I mean that seriously. The world is changing fast, and I guess you are being hit on both fronts, the dying rock and guitar world along with the dying motorcycle/HD thing. Understandable...and yeah getting old sucks.

If only they could get that radiation thing going...

Wet (curb) weight for 1200 Sportster: 591 pounds

Wet (curb) weight for 1994 FXR: 608.5 pounds.
I was wrong. The FXR weighs 17.5 pounds more than a Sportster. Wow!

do you think this will work? "Honey, the cvo sg is for on road, but I ride off road too. That will slow down depreciation on both bikes so it will not technically cost us anything for that 2nd bike."
