Default Which is more important...How it looks or how it runs?

What is more important to you, how your motorcycle looks or how your motorcycle runs? I know most of you are going to say both, but I want you to think about this situation....There are two bikes, you love the way one looks but not the way it runs, the other bike you love the way it runs and sounds, but not the way it looks.

Define looks: the feeling you get when you look at it.
Define runs: the feeling you get when you ride it.

No question, I bought my bike to RIDE, not just look at. The best looking bike in the world ain't worth a crap to me if I can't get on it and ride coast to coast.

I bought my bike to ride it, and spend more time on it than looking at it. Of course, I've made some changes to it's appearance, but if somehow I had to give up cosmetics to keep it running the way I like, it's no contest. Now, if you're one of those riders who washes the bike after every ride and is OCD about every little sign of use, then go for the looks. Either way, you can change whatever you don't like into something you do.

Same question if you substitute Woman for Bike.. sometimes YOU feel better while riding a good looking bike even if it doesn't run so great and vise versa- sorry to get philosophical but it's true..

Define looks. Maintenance looks or asthetic looks?
Define runs. Bar hopper radical or long distance reliability?

And define 'how it runs'..
those that want more power, or those that want a dependable running bike..

Appearance doesnt mean doodoo when youre stuck on the side of the road.. no matter how many cubic inches you have..

I want a bike to get me from A to B, even if A is the east coast, and B is the west coast.. dont care what it looks like, I park in my driveway, no garage..

I don't care much what it looks like. I do wash it once a year whether it needs it or not..

If it's not beautiful, I can fix that when I have time and money.

If it's not reliable, it's useless.

Personally, a good looking bike isn't worth crap if a person can't ride it around and show if off, so I'll go with how it runs first, then looks.
