Default Urgent: Brake light stays on, no rear blinkers

We are on a ride through Wyoming, Montana and Canada this week and we have an issue.

2010 Street Glide. Rear brake light stays on, blinkers only work in the front.

The only issue recently was a bad battery that we tried to charge and frankly, just ended up cooking it before replacing it with a new battery.

We will make it up to Glacier Harley Davison on Monday, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas and maybe we can self diagnose.

Bradleys, I'll take a stab at it.

The brake light is lit by either the right brake lever or the right brake pedal. If it were me, I'd disconnect one of those switches and see if the light goes out. If no change, reconnect and disconnect the other one. If the light still stays on, I don't know. If one of those disconnects extinguishes the light then fix or replace that faulty switch.

Good luck!

Have you recently done service to you grips? The handlebar brake MUST make contact with the master cylinder to create a ground. Check that.

Cooking battery Umm
Do you have a brake light control module on the bike?
. Like one that makes the brake light flash and/ or controls the turn signals for extra stop lamps.

The first thing I would do is check the filaments in the rear bulbs .

Ck switches____ Good way to start

Alot of bikes have the rear lighting harness very near if not right beside the battery.
You mentioned replaced battery__ maybe pinched part of the harness or a connector??
