any way to increase grip of leather gloves?

Just a thought but if you have to grip that tight some thing doesn't seam right with your throttle maybe? Too stiff should be able to role the throttle with no grip at all.. Holding the bars with next to no grip at all (except in panic mode)..
Just my thoughts, my bike, my ride stile,
P.S. Change those grips

Years ago, I used to wear gloves that were made out of cowhide and after they started getting older and stiffer, I started loosing a little bit of grip also. When I switched over to gloves made out of deerskin, the problem stopped. The deerskin gloves have stayed more pliable than the cowhide gloves ever did.

I do also have a pair of insulated gauntlets, but had left them home that day.
The welding gloves are so gosh darn comfy and I've been wearing them for 40+ years as all around work gloves, that I hate to give them up. (old habits)
Good idea about the oils, wax, dirt/sand...I'll try some of those ideas guys..thanks

Cozz : smooth leather. I havent' yet found mink oil locally, but have not exhausted all local resources yet.
Hey Man...I assure you I am no baby. I don't think babies ride at 33*F, do they?....also the leather on my OTHER gloves grip the grips just fine. How often do you do that in WCF?
