>> One analyst predicted that sales will go negative in 2018 and stay that way

...... negative sales ?
...... does that mean the MoCo's gonna start buying machines from customers ?

I hate those articles where you have to click next for every item. It’s done to make you see more ads. Drives me nuts.

Anyhow...really? negative sales? Idiots.

I hope that people remember Harley-Davidson after they go out of business, because those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Yawn.....drool...yawn some more. It’s like Groundhog Day with the HD doom and gloom threads.

But in the spirit of participation, I’m not buying it either. I can see some of the other “brands” failing, like Toy’s R Us, but they’re basically getting aged out. Without becoming an electronics store, they don’t really have a leg to stand on anymore. HD seems to already be looking for the next gen type bikes, and with the current ownership, there’s plenty of riders that will buy a few more bikes in their lifetime.

no, it means that sales will fall from previous year. Negative growth versus positive growth.

Having a down year is fairly common for any company. If it’s a down year with the economy like this...well, that’s not good

I think it's the blanket title that shows the authors ignorance, A brand that has been around for 115 years will suddenly be forgotten in 10 years? Pontiac has been gone for nearly ten years has anyone forgotten it?
