Question for CRUISE MATE owners
Hi guys
I am about to install my Cruise Mate but I am worry if after installation I wont hit lever with my thumb while I open throttle. Most of the time I wear gloves (thin mesh type). Cant test the device since installation require drilling so I really would like to hear from current owners if there is really an issue with clearance or I shoudnt really worry about it. Maybe I am paranoid.

I looked into the Cruise Mate and it seemed simple enough so I don't think you're have any issues with the install.
However another option is a "Klever Lever".
I picked up one for around $6 at JP Cycles back in June when I was in Sturgis.
It's a simple piece of plastic that just slides over the "star wheel".
I just got back from a 1800 mile road trip and it worked surprisingly well and is non-intrusive so if you don't like it you simply pop it off.

You should have gotten one of these. No drilling, tapping or other modifications required. Installs in 15 minutes or less and works 10 times better. You don't have to go searching for some little lever under the grip. The paddle is right there and is easy to set and release even with gloves. For those way up north, you could even operate the Vista Cruise wearing mittens. I've been using mine for almost two years with no problems.
