Default Motorcycle compass

Hi guys
I am looking for real deal motorcycle compass for softail. I tried some tiny compass but issue is I can't attach it to the bike as it messes up readings. How can I assure reading is correct while mounting it on steel parts?

Are there any good options for realible compass (beside touring as I realize for this model there are compasses available). How do they fix magnetic problem wit correctly showing north?

Thanks for advice

Have you thought of a digital compass. There are quite a few different types and sizes available.

Most GPS have a compass option and they are not affected by near by steel.

Does blue veiner vs diamond cutter stages change that?

The issue is my reception sucks and I dont want to use my phone while riding. Didnt consider electronic compass as I thought I want mine on tripple tree stem cover and no wiring or another connections.

If I know how to make standard compass work (not affected by steel underneath) that will be prefect solution I am looking for.

So here is what I don’t understand. Will this kind of compass not be affected by metal or any other magnetic field?

if not I feel I can simply stick some 5$ one on my tripple tree stem.
